This painting was part of a colorful explosion of works painted in January 1932 in anticipation of the major retrospective that he was planning. The nude in question is Picasso’s sometime mistress Marie-Therese Walter who became the subject of many pieces by the spanish painter. Sold at 106.5 million dollars Pablo Picasso’s “Nude, Green Leaves and Bust”, is known to be the world’s most expensive original painting to date.
